Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Research in Educational Technology and Computer Science (IJ-RETCS) aims to achieve maximum academic excellence through an impartial, unbiased, open, and thorough peer review process. All manuscripts received at IJ-RETCS are subjected to review.

The confidentiality for peer review at IJ-RETCS is double-blind. This means both authors and reviewers remain unaware of each other's identities to encourage an objective review of the paper.

All manuscripts are first subject to the editorial screening process to evaluate whether they are suitable for the journal and if they conform to the journal submission guidelines. Manuscripts fitting these requirements are then sent out for external review to specialists in the field.

Editorial Decisions

After considering the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision.
  • Accept with minor revisions.
  • Revise and resubmit after major revisions.
  • Reject the manuscript.

Authors who have their papers revised must carefully examine the reviewers' comments on them and resubmit the revised paper within the stipulated period of time.

Final decisions regarding the publication of manuscripts are made taking into account their academic merit, originality, relevance, scientific methodology, and reviewers' comments. During the reviewing process, the principles of confidentiality, fairness, editorial independence, transparency, and scholarly excellence are followed at IJ-RETCS.
